The Chicago Journal of Visual Art focuses on the publication of text regarding the visual arts, aiming to showcase the work of young writers, historians, and artists in Chicago. Our aim is to honor the talent and creative nerve that the city’s youth boasts, while simultaneously exhibiting concepts and opinions that are well-researched, critical, and rooted in academic and journalistic practices.

The inaugural print release of the Chicago Journal of Visual Art is scheduled for the Fall of 2026.
